On October 11, 2024, the 19th Annual Conference of Kenya Association of Manufacturers Western Branch was grandly held at the Acacia Premier Hotel in Kisumu, Kenya’s third largest city. More than 30 manufacturers from Kenya gathered together to discuss development plans, how to better develop local manufacturing industry, enhance Kenya’s economic development, and achieve national economic prosperity.

Representatives from government agencies such as Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Kenya Power and Lighting Company, and Kisumu County Government also attended the venue.

In the conference, outstanding manufacturers were commended, and Twyford International Kenya Sanitary Ware Factory became the most successful winner of the night, winning the title of Kenya’s Best Manufacturer of the Year. At the same time, a letter of appointment was officially issued to Managing Director Li Ruiqin, who was elected as a board director of Kenya Association of Manufacturers in June this year. This is the first Chinese director of Kenya Association of Manufacturers in its 65 year history since its establishment in 1959.

In his award speech, Mr. Tobias Alando, CEO of Kenya Association of Manufacturers, expressed special thanks to Twyford International for investing in Kenya. After 8 years of development, Twyford International has become the banner of Kenya’s manufacturing industry, with its brands Twyford, Micasso, and Frencia already well-known. KAM (Kenya Association of Manufacturers), founded in 1969, has undergone 65 years of development and currently has over 1500 manufacturing members. It has become the largest non-governmental organization in Kenya and one of the most trusted institutions by the Kenyan government, providing advice and recommendations for many government decisions.
