Twyford International Partners with Leshoushi to Deepen EAC Cooperation, Give Back to Society and Support Women's Health

September 11 – Twyford Kenya, in collaboration with Leshoushi, participated in a charitable event hosted by H.E. Veronica Nduva, Secretary-General of the East African Community (EAC), in Kenya. The companies donated essential supplies, including sanitary pads, to the local community, demonstrating their commitment to promoting health and well-being through tangible actions and reflecting corporate responsibility.

At the event, Miao Qiyu, representative of Twyford Kenya, emphasized in her speech that the company highly values its partnership with the EAC and consistently integrates "Balancing Responsibility and Development" as a key component of its corporate strategy. Since its establishment, Twyford Kenya has implemented a series of solid public welfare initiatives aimed at improving people’s livelihoods and enhancing quality of life:

· Educational Support: In 2016, the company funded the renovation of school buildings for the "Dream Building School" in a Nairobi slum. In 2017, it launched the Maisha Bora Scholarship Program, which sponsors numerous underprivileged yet academically outstanding students each year, covering their education from junior high school through university.

· Livelihood Improvement: In 2017, to alleviate water shortages for nearby residents, Twyford Kenya financed the drilling of two boreholes for the local community. The company also built several roads to improve transportation accessibility and has consistently visited and donated daily necessities to elderly individuals living alone in the community.

· Religious and Cultural Support: In 2024, Twyford Kenya supported the local community by contributing to the construction of a modern church capable of accommodating hundreds of people.

Similarly, since entering the Kenyan market, Leshoushi has also prioritized social responsibility, carrying out a series of public welfare initiatives focused on supporting the health of women and children.

H.E. Veronica Nduva expressed sincere appreciation for the long-term philanthropic efforts of Twyford International and Leshoushi. She emphasized that regional cooperation should extend beyond economic and trade exchanges to include social responsibility and livelihood improvement, noting that this event served as a practical example of public-private collaboration in advancing sustainable development. She also called on more enterprises to actively participate in public welfare actions and jointly promote social progress and long-term development in East Africa.

This event not only demonstrated the company’s commitment to social responsibility and community service but also highlighted its firm determination to deepen cooperation with the EAC. In the future, Twyford International will continue to support regional socioeconomic development through concrete actions, contributing to a healthier, more inclusive, and sustainable East Africa.
