Recently, KEDA (GHANA) CERAMICS COMPANY LIMITED, in collaboration with the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast, held the award ceremony for the 2024 Chinese language course, where 4 outstanding students were awarded the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship provided by the Chinese Embassy.

 

The Ghana Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast highly praised KEDA (GHANA) CERAMICS COMPANY LIMITED for its ongoing efforts in Chinese language learning and cultural activities. Encouraging all students to actively participate in Chinese language learning in the future, he wished them greater success on their future paths. He also expressed the institute's unwavering support for KEDA (GHANA) CERAMICS COMPANY LIMITED in Chinese language teaching and promoting Chinese culture, aiming to truly become a bridge for communication and understanding between China and Ghana.

 

At the ceremony, Director Mr. OFORI and General Manager Mr. Wei LI presented the four outstanding Chinese learners with the Ambassador Scholarship, Excellent Student Trophy, and certificates. Each student also received a USD 100 Ambassador Scholarship.

 

Additionally, Teacher Mr. Jia awarded graduation certificates to all students and distributed exam scorecards to the seven students who participated in the Chinese proficiency exams. The Human Resources Department of KEDA (GHANA) CERAMICS COMPANY LIMITED announced salary adjustments for these seven students, recognizing their contributions to Chinese language learning and Sino-Ghanaian cultural exchange.

 

Each award-winning student expressed their joy and gratitude in Chinese, using the language they have learned, and pledged to further practice Chinese in their future work and life. They also promised to share their experiences in learning Chinese with their local colleagues who are interested in studying the language.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mr. Wei LI, the General Manager of KEDA (GHANA) CERAMICS COMPANY LIMITED, delivered a concluding speech. He emphasized the importance of multilingualism in the context of a globalized economy, highlighting its significance for international work exchanges, team collaboration, and the long-term implications for both corporate development and cultural exchange.
