Tanzania Minister of Trade and Industry visited Keda-Tanzania ceramic factory
The new government of Tanzania continuously values and welcomes foreign investment, and increases support to industry. As one of the key investment enterprises belonging to Ministry of Trade and Factory, Keda (Industrial Group)-Tanzania ceramic factory has prepared for the construction of a new float glass factory since 2022, which aroused concern from Tanzania investment, Tanzania Ministry of Trade and Industry and government organizations and agencies.
At 13:30 on June 8, 2023, Ashatu Kijaji, the Minister of Tanzania Ministry of Trade and Industry, led a delegation to visit the Tanzania ceramic factory. Yu Shankai, the director of New Project Preparation Center in Sunda Group, Zhang Wan, the general manager of Tanzania ceramic factory and Zhang Qi, the general trading manager of Tanzania accompanied the visit.
At the meeting, the spokesman from the representative of Keda Group introduced the investment history of Keda Group and Sunda Group in Tanzania, the investment situation of existing factories and the float glass factory under construction. She also expressed profound feelings from Keda&Sunda to Tanzania and the gratitude to the Tanzanian government for improving the new environment. Moreover, he expected to continue to invest in Tanzania and hoped for the government’s further support.

Ashatu Kijaji first expressed her gratitude for our company for its investment in Tanzania. She also had a detailed understanding of the situation of each factory and gave solutions aimed at the difficult points mentioned by Keda Group. In particular, the difficulty in the construction of float glass factory, the minister put the solution into the work plan to provide help for Tanzania Keda&Sunda Group. At the meeting, the minister had full and in-depth communication with our leaders, and also change their views on the development of Keda&Sunda Group in Tanzania and the requirements of government.
After the meeting, minister Ashatu Kijaji visited the ceramic tile production line, inspected the working environment at the grass-roots level, and expressed her concern for workers’ work. The minister also gave guidance to factory production and worker safety and security, and expressed recognition for the employment performance created by Keda Group in Tanzania.
The media affiliated to the Ministry of Trade and Industry recorded and accompanied the visit, and released it on the official media platform of the ministry. This visit has enhanced the influence of Keda&Sunda Group in Tanzania and enriched the cooperation and interaction between the ceramic factory and local government. Tanzania ceramic factory will keep increasing the influence in the local area and enhancing its position in the industry. It will also continue to contribute to Tanzania’s national economy and industrialization.
